v. tr. 1. To form an idea of; imagine or conceive. v. intr. 1. To conceive mental images; think.

ideogram

n. 1. A character or symbol representing an idea or a thing without expressing the pronunciation of a particular word or words for it, as in the traffic sign commonly used for "no parking" or "parking prohibited." Also Called ideograph.

n. 1. a. The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning. b. An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning. c. A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect. 2. a. Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs. b. An occurrence, a result, or a circumstance notable for such incongruity.

n. 1. The act or an instance of iterating; repetition. 2. Mathematics A computational procedure in which the desired result is approached through a repeated cycle of operations, each of which more closely approximates the desired result. 3. Computer Science The process of repeating a set of instructions a specified number of times or until a specific result is achieved.
