| Etymology: |
Hơi = a little, rather, used only before adjectives or adverbs which are not positive. Bị is also used to denote states or actions which are not desirable at all such as "bị ốm" hay "bị cảm". But as slang, hơi bị placed before an adjective or an adverb no longer conveys negativeness BUT rather in a positive sense. |
