The goal of this SIG is to familiarize members with the wide range of stock strategies and investment approaches provided by AAII.
We will study fundamentals, dividend yields, earnings growth etc. to assess the WHAT to buy or sell, and use various technical signals to assist us with the WHEN to buy or sell a specific stock. Our astute members are encouraged to bring ideas to discuss.
This SIG will also be utilizing strategies to derive income on holdings by using calls and puts if/when appropriate.

We work closely with the Options and Analysis and Investment Protection SIGs.

Due to greater uncertainties, financial planning after retirement becomes more challenging.  We all want to make good decisions.  Where most investors get into trouble is not in their intent, it's in their emotions and habits.  The SIG's focus is educating members how-to make informed financial decisions which are in their best interest.  Our group welcomes different viewpoints and participation from both experienced and new investors.

A new administration will take office Jan 20th . Health Care has been a top priority during the election. Depending on whether the Senate is Democrat or Republican will determine what changes in healthcare will be possible to make. The Georgia runoff will decide the outcome on Jan 5th. We’ll know when we meet in January. In the next couple of years will it be Medicare For All, an expansion of ObamaCare, or, the status quo. We’ll discuss the potential changes to our health care system and its effect going forward. More competition in the drug industry, congressional legislation and presidential executive orders could mean lower drug prices. Much more to talk about.
Join us for an informative and spirited discussion.

There are many misconceptions surrounding estate planning and estate administration. This SIG will help sort the truth from fiction by focusing on various estate planning and administration topics, including using trust-based estate plans to plan for incapacity and death; advance health care directives; using powers of attorney; differences in probate and trust administration; and how to organize your affairs to aid in efficient and cost-effective administration of your estate.
