My research is directed towards identifying the patterns of change, or dynamics, in motor coordination through the use of nonlinear quantitative tools. Projects include motor learning, motor-respiratory coupling (i.e., pacing your breathing during exercise), and the intentional control of coordination.Contact me directly for information about research opportunities.
In addition to my personal research, I work closely with other members of a multidisciplinary research team called DPAC (Dynamics of Perception, Action, and Cognition). Activities include: research collaboration; development of a multidisciplinary dynamics curriculum; group mentoring; hosting external visitors; discussions of current literature and research; and tutorials on computer programming, grant-writing, methodology, and equipment.
