Fig. 1 Coded particles. Step 1: Target proteins are immobilized onto dope-coded particles. Step 2: Dope-coded biosensing particles are mixed with testing analyte (e.g., marker proteins).  Step 3: Particles are assembled on a substrate in a high density random arrangement.  Step 4:  Substrate is scanned optically or with  a scanning probe to simultaneously decode the particles and detect the marker proteins.
