Surrealist Object Gallery 2015

Text Box: Alberto Ríos / Lo real maravilloso

Each page in this gallery—including this one—has a randomly assigned piece of music by Erik Satie, who was revered by the Sur-realists and was part of their group. The music was com-posed from about 1886 to 1917. If they don’t play, you can hear them at various sites around the net—here, for example.  Music for this page is “Trois Gnossiennes,” composed in 1890.

Note: The Surrealist objects in this gallery are depicted from one view. At the bottom several more views may better contextualize the object and its making. Some have more angles or close-ups of particular parts of the object when these were important considerations.  In some cases, there are extra counterpoint objects.
