Phoenix is bigger than Baltimore, Boston, and Washington D.C.
Mesa is bigger than Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Buffalo, and Newark. 
Glendale is bigger than Akron, Madison, and Ft. Wayne.
Scottsdale is bigger than Grand Rapids, Richmond, Yonkers, and Durham.
Chandler is bigger than Providence and Worcester.
Tempe is bigger than Paterson, Syracuse, Bridgeport, and Alexandria.
Gilbert and Peoria are both bigger than Waterbury, Manchester, Allentown, and Lowell.

All of these cities are bigger than Erie, Gary, and Cambridge.

According to Census 2000: Actual Population Statistics

Phoenix (1,321,045) is bigger than:
          Baltimore (651,154), Boston (589,141), and Washington D.C. (572,059).

Mesa (396,375) is bigger than:
          Pittsburgh (334,563), Cincinnati (331,285), Buffalo (292,648), and Newark (273,546).

Glendale (218,812) is bigger than:
          Akron (217,074), Madison (208,854), and Ft. Wayne (205,727).

Scottsdale (202,705) is bigger than:
          Grand Rapids (197,800), Richmond (197,790), Yonkers (196,086), and Durham (187,035).

Chandler (176,581) is bigger than:
          Providence (173,618) and Worcester (172,648).

Tempe (158,625) is bigger than:
          Paterson (149,222), Syracuse (147,306), Bridgeport (139,529), and Alexandria (128,283).

Gilbert (109,697) and Peoria (108,364) are both bigger than:
          Waterbury (107,271), Manchester (107,006), Allentown (106,632), and Lowell (105,167).


All of these cities are bigger than Erie (103,717), Gary (102,746), and Cambridge (101,355).
