Ethics
- Differentiate between the four major principles of bioethics (autonomy, beneficence,

- In the interactive model of values and ethical conflict presented in class, describe the
three components and how they might affect your clinical practice.
- Describe each of the three categories of ethical issues (client centered, peer centered
and institution/society centered), and identify the key concepts included in each.
- Describe the role of the nurse in the process of informed consent.
Student Presentations
- Review objectives for each presentation, required readings, handouts and notes from
class, and the potential questions developed by the students. Questions will be taken from
these areas. Questions on the exam may be similar to those prepared by the groups,
however, they may not be exactly the same.
- Chemical Dependency
- Be very familiar with the information in the student handout provided by the group who
did their presentation on chemical dependency. This topic will likely have more questions
than other presentations.
- Be prepared to answer questions generated from the learning objectives for the group
presentation on chemical dependency in nursing.
- Describe the CAN*DO program.
