Elizabeth McFadden married Laurence McNair November 29, 1882. By 1898, Mrs. McNair was a widow. Mrs. McNair attended the 1907 MSNC conference in Keokuk, IA. In 1908, she was the Music Supervisor for the Mattoon, IL Public Schools. In 1916, she was listed in the Mattoon city register as having no occupation, and as the widow of Laurence McNair. In 1921, she attended the MSNC conference and listed her address as 2301 Richmond Ave., Mattoon. She attended the 1928 conference and listed her address as 1521 Charleston Ave., Mattoon. In the 1930 Mattoon city register there is no listing for Mrs. McNair.
