Many sites have come up on the Internet concerning themselves with magical realism—which is wonderful. With so much bounty, however, deciding what is useful and what is not, what has some authority and what is simply charming, all of this becomes difficult. And tethered to this, of course, is the literature itself, which is the first and best source.
That caveat made, here are some interesting, sometimes idiosyncratic sites. These are references to authors or themes directly related to this class, and are in English. Some sites in other languages also do a very good job, and are worth seeking out.
Many of these authors and their themes will be covered on big sites, such as Wikipedia, The Poetry Foundation, The Academy of American Poets, Poets & Writers, and so on.
Wikipedia, let me say, is doing a good job on many issues and writers. I did not list all the Wikipedia citations, but I would seek them out. Books and Writers is also a source I found useful. |
