• Create a dada poem according to Tristan Tzara's instructions.
  
• Be thinking about creating a Surrealist object based on Lautremont's phrase, which became the Surrealist motto, "...the fortuitous encounter on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and an umbrella."  This will be due on 9-24-01.
  
• Next up: Read The Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka.
  
• Stories to read out of Magical Realist Fiction
  

• The Dada poems 2001website is now up and running.  Read through it (and send yours in if you haven't already).  It has gone through a second full update (9-19-01)
  
• We will be viewing the Russian film "A Window to Paris."
  
• Begin reading Labyrinths, by Borges.
