o create a different language character on a PC, press the ALT key in combination with the following numbers on your numeric key pad (to the right on the keyboard).  Make sure your NUM LOCK key is on (upper left of numeric key pad).  These are posted in different font sizes in case you'd like to print them, cut one out, and position it somewhere near  your keyboard.  Try experimenting--the computer will make many symbols for you.  This is a shortcut--you can also go to the "insert symbol" section of your program.  The advantage of this method, however, is that it will work even in programs that don't have this option, such as many email programs.
