The Stone laboratory (or the Laboratory of Molecular Anthropology) is a fully-equipped genetics laboratory located on the 4th floor of the Life Sciences Building E. "Wet-lab" bench space is available for at least 8 individuals with additional "dry-lab" desk space for data analysis for at least 4 individuals. In addition, Dr. Stone maintains a separate ancient DNA laboratory in the Life Sciences C building. This laboratory is reserved for all ancient DNA preparation and general storage, and is equipped with a positive pressure class 10,000 HEPA filtered clean room. Further, in the Anthropology Building, we have an additional genetics laboratory with "wet-lab" bench space for at least 4 individuals that is reserved for analysis of samples that are modern but of poor quality (i.e. not ancient but at risk for contamination in the main laboratory). In total, there is approximately 2000 sq ft of lab space.
