Because of the current interest in Afghanistan - particularly President Bush's request that American children lend aid to Afghan children - we have put this web site together for use by parents, teachers, and children. We lived with our three children in Kabul between 1967 and 1969, and of course have kept up an interest in a part of the world that, even then, we both loved and feared. Because our own three children were there with us, we took a special interest in the things that children found fascinating.
