Hardware challenge
This exercise should be done in teams of two
You and your fellow student have just gotten jobs as a geologists and you
say that you would like to
use a computer to help you with your work. Your boss says, "well we have
one of these old beaters in the back that you are welcome to set up..."
With a minimum of supervision from George or I, set up one of the machines
in the back of the room. Your boss is generous and has found you a hard
disk and some RAM which you must install. Good luck!
You are done when you have demonstrated the functionality of the machine to
George or me.
