This is a band sampler commemorating our 1993 bicycle trip up the west coast of Ireland. The top motif is a cutwork bicycle, worked in dove's eye. The red, ecru, and blue bands are in cross stitch, as are the city names. The shamrocks are worked in satin stitch, the center bicycles in back stitch, and the lower ecru band in mountmellick stitch. The sampler is stitched on 32-count linen, using perle cotton and DMC floss.

This piece won a second-place ribbon at the 1999 Stitcher's Faire (Channel Islands, CA EGA chapter) and the 2000 Phoenix Needlework Show. It won first-place ribbons at the 1999 Arizona State Fair and the 2000 Maricopa County Fair.
