The Embroiderer's Guild of America's 1999 Challenge with a twist project
was an interpretation of the theme "choices." I used a verse
from the French philosopher Pascal, Le coeur a ses raisons que la
raison ne connait pas, which means that the heart has its reasons
that the mind does not know. This assisi work sampler shows choices I've
made: attending Indiana University, studying French, getting married,
and moving to Arizona. It is worked in cross-stitch, Smyrna cross, and
back stitch, using DMC floss on 32-count linen. |
