Eligibility

Applicants must be serious students, 18 years of age or older, and willing to be adventurous, meet new people and interact in a foreign culture with maturity and an open mind. A GPA of 2.50 or better is required.

Due to the age and infrastructure of the location, Florence, Italy, students must be able to walk unaided for a distance of at least one mile. Florence is a Medieval city with streets paved with cobble stones, which certainly contributes to its quaint beauty and historical atmosphere, but which may present problems to those who are unused to walking as a mean of transportation, and especially on uneven surfaces.
