VII Honoré de Balzac on the 200th anniversary of his birth.

Aleksandra Gruzinska, A.S.U. Prof. of French, will speak about Balzac the man and the novelist, as well as his admirers, Octoave Mirbeau et Auguste Rodin. Anthony Gully, A.S.U. Prof. of Art History, will talk about Rodin’s statue of Balzac, followed by the film adaptation of Le Colonel Chabert with Gérard Depardieu and Fanny Ardant.
