Course Description

The capstone portfolio is the culmination of your program of study in the TC Program. Prior to graduation, you will:

This Capstone course will assist you with the process of composing and presenting your portfolio. During the course, we will review and analyze Program Outcomes as they relate to your work; draft a persuasive statement and portfolio; review each others' drafts; and review the procedures that will be used to evaluate your portfolio. As graduating seniors, you are expected to work together to collaborate and provide feedback as you complete tasks and draft and complete your portfolios.

Please read the Capstone FAQ for more information.

Evaluation

Important notes:

A grade of C or better must be earned in the Capstone course.

Completed portfolios must be submitted by the deadline. Failure to submit your portfolio by the date scheduled will result in a grade of E.

Students who receive below a C in the Capstone course will be required to retake it in a future semester.

Grading:

All of the work required for this course is intended to help prepare you to compose and present your portfolio. Course content should, hopefully, be a review of concepts and ideas that you have learned in your classes. You will be assigned to a peer review group to provide feedback on each others' work throughout the semester.

Activities are listed Learning Studio. All activities for this course are required. Assigned tasks, posts, drafts and peer reviews should be thorough and completed on time and demonstrate reasonable effort and progress on composing a portfolio.

Your portfolio will be graded using a scoring guide based on Program outcomes. We will review scoring during the course.

Scale:

# of satisfactories grade
89 - 99 pts A
79 - 88 pts B
69 - 78 pts C
59 - 68 pts D
