Welcome to the Vogt Research Group's homepage. We are based in the Flexible Display Center at Arizona State University, part of MacroTechnology Works at ASU Research Park. Our research program can be divided into two primary thrusts: (1) Nanoscale materials templated by polymers and (2) Functional polymers. For both thrusts, interests are driven by existing and emerging applications for these materials. In particular, we focus on the synthesis and characterization of promising thin film materials using a suite of advanced tools developing property-structure-processing relationships. These are supplemented by fundamental studies of phase behavior, transport phenomenon, and reaction kinetics. In many cases, our work utilizes supercritical fluids (SCFs) in the synthesis and processing of these materials. SCFs offer advantages over traditional liquid or gas processing of materials especially at the nanoscale. Please browse through the remainder of the site for details about our research and group members.
