Vegetation: Alpine meadow to Douglas fir and riparian hardwoods to high desert scrub oak, yucca, and cholla and prickly pear cactus. Frequently Seen Animals: deer, elk, trout (permit required), black bear (infrequent), Mexican gray wolf (rare).

Length of Hike (r/t):  11.2 miles Trail Elevation Change: 2,160ft.
Trail Low Point: 6,800 ft.  Trail High Point: 8,960 ft.
Water: Yes (nonpotable)  
Tips: Part of trail lies in Blue Range Primitive Area. Trail log: 0.0 miles KP Cienega Trailhead. Trail crosses meadow into the timber; at 0.9 miles trail crosses creek after two switchback descent. At 2.7 miles, trail climbs out of canyon on north side. At 2.9 miles, junction with North Fork of KP Trail #93. Two waterfalls are directly downstream. At 5.6 miles, junction with Blue Lookout Trail #71.
