Teaching & Advising

For me, the center of education is student success, and my experience and expertise revolve around it. Helping students succeed is my main goal in academia, and I accomplish it in two ways: teaching and advising. Neither, I believe, can be separated from the other, and to be successful in one, you must be successful in the other. Case in point: performing good pedagogy often takes great effort; yet teaching always energizes me (hopefully my enthusiasm rubs off on students)! Similarly, advising is a very necessary component in higher education but often overlooked; yet I thoroughly enjoy the process.
