Regions & Places I've
Traveled
Basically,
when it comes to travel, I like to travel inexpensively!!
Traveling inexpensively is, in my opinion, THE BEST way to travel. The
best travels in my life have been when I travel inexpensively: from sleeping in
a family's house -- actually sleeping on their living room floor and helping
them do dishes after dinner -- to spending the night outside, under a tree next
to the ocean, and having seals swim up and "talk" to me! Take a
look at my Frugal Travel Tips to learn more about
effective and inexpensive travel!
Accommodations
vary from night to night and region to region; one night I might stay at a
seaside B&B, the next night, with a local family, and the next night in a
castle-turned-hostel!! I've also been known to sleep outside at times (if I happen to have a
sleeping bag/blanket!)
In fact, one of the best nights' rest I've EVER had was sleeping outside, next
to the River Conan, in Uig, Scotland -- I LOVE September morning swims in
Scotland!! Where I stay depends mainly on my budget for the excursion,
and any "special" places I find along the way. Traveling can
also be very exciting (although
a tad stressful) if
you roll into a town without reservations, and then search for a
place to stay (-;!!!
You can take a
look at a few examples of how inexpensively I've
traveled and my packing list if you'd
like!!! Remember that traveling inexpensively keeps you humble and allows
you to be more like the locals -- heaven forbid you look like a tourist!!
