Biographical Sketch
Chris A. Martin came to Arizona State University in 1990 after receiving his Ph.D. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS), Ecological Society of America (ESA), International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), the Metropolitan Tree Improvement Alliance (METRIA), the International Association for Urban Climate (IAUC), and the Arionza Community Tree Council (ACTC). Dr. Martin is a Wakonse Teaching Fellow and maintains an active and externally funded research program in urban plant ecology and environmental horticulture. He is also an affiliated faculty member and senior sustainability scientist in the ASU School of Sustainability and has served as a member of the vegetation subcommittee for the national Sustainable Sites Initiative.
