I enjoy taking pictures...Okay, I am not very good, but hey why should that stop me from making some of them available online?

Here, you can find a few of my pictures. I captured them using an Olympus E10 camera. I used the super-high quality (SHQ) compression scheme while capturing these pictures. For your ease, I am placing them here with lower sizes and qualities. I will try to present the pictures in an organized fashion, but I am still debating what that organization scheme should be, time, occasion, content?..... and "yes", ironically, I am doing research on content-based image indexing.

Berlin (Sept 03)
A short trip to Berlin. Amazing town...very lively..and a lot of fun.

Frankfurt and Dagstuhl (Aug-Sep 03)
Same trip to Germany Frankfurt was more fun then my last trip there...there was a huge party next to the river. Dagtuhl was again calm and relaxing...and we worked a lot too!

San Diego (Aug 03)
A two-day trip to San Diego. One of my bests....or the best. The beach was lovely as ever.

California (July 03)
I spent a month in California in July. working...working....fortunately, had a few short breaks :)

Italy (May 03)
Yes! Italy again... This time Torino and Ischia....and, guess what? I am planning to go there soon again!!!

Sunrise (Jan 03)
Yes..snowboarding again!...on a SuperBowl-Sunday...The slopes are all ours :) BTW, can you believe this is in Arizona?

3-day conference in Monterey...amazing beauty...I wish I had a few more days for picture taking..More pictures of the Pacific cost.

Bay Area (Dec 02)
I spent close to a month in Bay Area..mostly working. Most of these pictures are from a half a day trip to the Pacific cost.

A weekend trip...Beautiful beautiful town..only a few pictures from San Diego

Hong Kong (Aug 02)
My second trip to Hong Kong (first with a digital camera). This time I got to visit the Macau island (which was an old Portugese settlement) and the Lantau island (which is the home to the largest outdoor sitting Buddha -- sorry, no pictures of the Buddha on this page). Unfortunately, I didn't have time to clean and crop the pictures yet. So, I must admit that some of these pictures do not look exactly how I imagine them in my mind....maybe I will revisit these pictures in the future. Here are a few pictures from Kowloon, Hong Kong, Lantau, and Macau.

Utah (Spring 02)
I had two snowboarding trips two Utah in the first half of 2002. I am getting better at standing on the board :) The real challenge is to carry the E10 while snowboarding. I figured that is not a very good idea. So, I didn't get to take too many pictures in either trip. Here is a selection of pictures taken at Ogden and Snowbird.
