                and Viswa Bharati University. IISER Kolkata announced.
Uttarakhand: IIT Roorkee.
UP:          IIT Kanpur, IIM Lucknow, Aligarh Muslim University,
       Benaras Hindu University, and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University,
       Lucknow, Allahbad University (proposed to be a central Univ)

Missing states: Bihar, Rajasthan, Orissa, Punjab, Haryana, J & K,
                   Himachal Pradesh, Chhatisgarh

AIIMS like institutions have been announced at: Bihar, Chhatisgarh,
   Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, and Uttaranchal

   Note that, although Orissa is thankful to the past and current
   central government for their promise regarding an AIIMS-like
   institution in Orissa, such an institution with health as its focus
   does not cover the need for a broader research and education
   institution like an IISc, IIT or a proposed NIS.
