And the [D]schools and uni[E]versities are [D]turning out a brand new [E]breed of
Young con[A]servatives. [D]  [E]            [A]    [D]  [E]

[D]Get yourself a [E]brand new scene, [D]keep your collars [E]white and clean, 
It's [D]time to come and [E]join the young con[A]servatives. [D] [E] 

Revo[A]lution used to be [D]cool, [E] but [A]now it's out of [D]fashion. [E]
Po[A]liteness is the [D]rule, [E] and not an [A]angry young man's [D]passion. [E] 
And they've [D]used up all the al[E]ternatives, and they're [D]rushing down the street to 
[E]Join the young con[A]servatives. [D]  [E] Con[A]servatives. [D]  [E]

[D]Ban the bomb, oh how contemporary, in your parents' car. 
Another [G]chip off the block, is that all that you [A]are? 
[D]Look at all the young conservatives hanging out in the bars. 
It's got to [G]stop before it goes to fa-fa-fa-fa-[A]far. 

[D]Get yourself some [E]new attire, [D]set your sights a [E]little higher, 
[D]You're going to [E]join the young con[A]servatives. [D]  [E]

The es[A]tablishment is [D]winning, [E] now the [A]battle's nearly [D]won. [E]
The [A]rebels are con[D]forming, [E] see the [A]father, now the [D]sons. [E]
All the [D]urgency and [E]energy have [D]turned into com[E]placency, 
Now the [D]schools and uni[E]versities are [D]turning out a brand new [E]breed of 
Young con[A]servatives.[D]  [E] Con[A]servatives. [D]  [E]

[D]Rebel, rebel found a cause,  now it's Hampstead not East End 
And [G]now he's such a well respected [A]man. 
[D]The only action that you see is in the Sunday Times. 
Con[G]tent to sit in bed and read between the [A]lines. 

[D]Rebel, rebel, [E]join the young con[D]serva[E]tives. 
[D]Be a devil [E]join the new con[A]servatives. [D]  [E]

It's a [A]victory for [D]order, [E]now they've[A] beaten every[D]one. [E]
The [A]rebels are too [D]old now, [E] and the [A]young just want to be [D]young. [E]
All the [D]urgency and [E]energy have [D]turned into complacency. 
Now the [D]schools and uni[E]versities are [D]turning out a brand new [E]breed of
