Flash slide show Thanks to the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. Dodge 1. Drag the file slides.fla from Students onto your desktop. 2. Open the file slides.fla in Flash. 3. Import your photos into Flash: File > Import > Import to Library
4. In the dialogue box find your files and import them to the library. 5. Open the library: Window > Library 6. Make sure your Properties box is open. If not: Window > Properties 7. In the file slides.fla find the layer labeled pictures. Click on the first black dot.
8. Click the picture once to select it. In the Properties box, click Swap.
9. This opens the Swap box. Click on the picture you want to swap, then click OK. This will replace the current picture with the one you picked.
10. In the layer called captions, click on the first black dot.
11. Select the type tool in the toolbox.
12. Put the cursor in the caption box. Select the current text and replace it with yours.
13. Repeat steps 7 through 10 for each picture and caption. 14. Be sure to save your work to your website folder in Students. 15. If you want to add more pictures, go to column 5. Hold the shift key down. Click on the top item in the list, then the bottom item in the list. Make sure you highlight ALL the items in the column. In order to see the entire column, you might have to expand the window by pulling it down. 16. While that column is highlighted, go to Insert > Timeline > Frame. A rectangle will appear in each cell. 17. Click on the word “caption” in the list. Click on the lock to unlock it. Click once on the rectangle in column 6. It will turn black. Go to Insert > Timeline > Keyframe. A black circle should show up in that cell. 18. Click on the word “pictures” in the list. Click on the lock to unlock it. Click once on the rectangle in column 6. It will turn black. Go to Insert > Timeline > Keyframe. A black circle should show up in that cell. |
