SITES WE LOOKED AT IN CLASS
Nature from PBS.org http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/database.html
From leaches to crocs feeding, this PBS show goes beyond what you get
if you only watch TV.
Google video
http://video.google.com/
http://blogsearch.google.com
is an indexing tool that points to the latest buzz on any keyword or topic.
http://www.icerocket.com is a
good resource for looking up blogs on a particular topic, such as Hurricane
Katrina, or for searching for blog entries by a certain author or within
a specified time period.
http://technorati.com is the best blog-search option on the Web. Technorati
indexes by topic, allowing you to find, for example, just those blogs
that love cats. It also lists the most popular terms people are blogging
about and features a Top 100 list.

DUE THIS THURSDAY
1. Study for the quiz on Thursday. OPTIONAL BUT HELPFUL:
Take the quiz review. WARNING!
These are NOT the only questions that will be on the quiz. They represent
the types of questions you’ll be asked. I’ll try to include
at least one question from each of you. Remember that things we talk
about in class might be included too.
2. Post your fourth blog entry by midnight.
Include a video link as well as a regular link. Here are sources
of video:
• http://www.blinkx.tv/

OPTIONAL: Come to Nancie’s class every Tuesday
and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our classroom (Stauffer
A-114). No quizzes, no grades!
DUE NEXT TUESDAY
1. Put your finished Sound Slides, résumé page and one
other page in your STUDENT folder BY THE END OF CLASS. If you’re
not happy with your navbar, this is the time to redo it. You don’t
have time to finish everything in class. That’s why you need to
practice and work on as much as you can outside class. You can
download the free versions of Photoshop and Dreamweaver. For information,
go to Books.
2. We’ll work on another page on Tuesday. Bring
what you need to
class! That could be your bio for your BIO page or stories for your
PORTFOLIO page or the content for your HOME page.
OPTIONAL: Come to Nancie’s class every Tuesday
and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our classroom (Stauffer
A-114). No quizzes, no grades!
