I'm a multimedia journalist with a knack for feature writing. Whether it's about the local museum, a racecar driver with out a license or transvestite prostitution in South America, I find intriguing stories and bring them to life.

The Arizona Republic, the East Valley Tribune, azcentral.com and The State Press have all published my work before.

My diverse interests -- in music, plastic arts, travel, sociology, politics, history and sport -- allow me to connect with subjects and share their stories in a meaningful context. In Decemember 2010, I will graduate from Arizona State University with a journalism degree from the Walter Cronkite School, a honors diploma from the Barrett Honors college and minors in history and political science.

I've interned as a sports reporter at the East Valley Tribune, which had a circulation of 90,000 at the time. At CaféAbroad.com, a magazine for American students abroad, I was a travel writer and team manager in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through the summer of 2009, I will help research and copy edit a book on religion & HIV in Sub-Sahran Africa.

I am a proficient spanish speaker with a breadth of knowledge in Latino issues in the U.S. and South America -- where I hope to freelance one day.

In addition to journalism, I am interested in layout design, copy writing, public relations, custom publishing and promotions.

Friends will tell you I'm sometimes funny and always up for an adventure. When I'm not slaving, I explore my native Arizona and anywhere else my meager wallet can send me.
