Carolyn M. Warner
Associate Professor of Political Science
Arizona State University
My research interests range from religion and politics to patronage and corruption, and I have written extensively on imperialism and state destruction in Africa.
I am currently completing a book on the political economy of corruption in the European Union and its member states. With a seed grant from ASU's Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict, I am launching a project with George Thomas (ASU Sociology), two colleagues at the University of Washington (Anthony Gill and Steve Pfaff), and one at Emory (Sam Cherribi) on the organizational patterns of Muslims in western Europe.
My teaching emphases are on political economy, Europe, and religion and politics.
