The Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence (CLTE) at Arizona State University provides a series of summer seminars and short workshops. I have participated in the following sessions:
- 4 Part Workshop for Anthropology Graduate Students
- Approaches to Active Learning
- Critical Thinking and Writing
- Crash Course in Online and Hybrid Teaching
- 2 Part Curriculum Vitae Workshop

Teaching Experience. Much of my professional life has emphasized research and professional conference presentations. This portion of the PFF Participatory Phase includes classroom instruction.
As the primary instructor for ASB 321 Indians of the Southwest at the ASU East Polytechnic Campus in the Spring of 2004, I prepared lectures and course materials for archaeology and anthropology components.
In the Fall of 2005 I provided Introduction to Mesoamerican Civilization and Cultural Heritage Issues for Museum Practice guest lectures
Introduction. This page completes the requirements for my second year in the Preparing Future Faculty Program at Arizona State University. Featured here are brief summaries of my Participatory Phase Projects and Teaching Portfolio narrative documents. I have on file the supplementary materials for each of these projects.
Featured projects were selected in order to strengthen my deficiencies as a future professional of higher education. There is very little research activity present among these projects. A quick review of my CV will highlight that I have considerable experience in conducting and presenting research problems. However, I have been much more limited in my experience as an educator and have used the two years with PFF program to explore and expand my experience in this area.
Narrative Summary. This short essay outlines the benefit of the PFF program in my professional development.
