Materials and Useful Documents

This space will serve as a gallery of useful documents and materials related to information literacy practices and information technology implementation:

  • Permission to Publish Student Work Online - I use this form to acquire permission from students enrolled in my courses to publish work they complete in my classes online. Examples may include PowerPoint presentations, web sites, electronic versions of seminar papers, transcripts from synchronous chat sessions, &c. I also have the document available for download in MS Word format.
  • Website Evaluation Sheet - I acquired this website evaluation sheet from a colleague at the University of Oregon. It is useful to give your students if you or they are considering using a website as a primary or secondary source of information for an academic paper. This sheet can assist in deciding if the website can be considered an authority on the subject discussed in final paper, and if the information can be trusted. The document is also available for download in MS Word format.
  • Multilingual Computing Resources - A list of useful websites for helping you with your multilingual computing needs: Unicode, font issues, inserting special characters in documents, &c.
