Credo for Materials Chemical Research
One fascinating aspect of chemical science is its ability of synthesizing/discovering new materials with new chemical and/or physical properties. In particular, materials chemistry is naturally apt for design and discovery of new materials, which is of central importance in the whole enterprise of materials research. Interdisciplinary nature of materials chemistry requires intimate understanding of principles of phase formation and structure-property correlations, and ultimately expects successful conclusion of such endeavor by providing new materials with designed properties.
