Choco-Chile Tilapia

 

1 Hatch Chile

1 Tbsp Spice Islands®™ Calcutta Heat

¼ Cup olive oil

1 Tbsp Nutella®™

1 Tilapia filet**

 

 

Pulverize Hatch Chile with mortar and pestle.  Add Calcutta Heat and olive oil to make paste.  Spread evenly in skillet.  Then heat well enough for blackening.  Blacken Tilapia on both sides.  Use spatula to spread Nutella®™ evenly over the blackened fish.  Cook for 5 minutes and serve immediately*.

 

*Alternatively, if you prefer the subtle taste of the nut and cocoa from the Nutella®™, but not the texture, then spread as usual along the blackened filet, but turn the fish after about 2 minutes, and proceed to cook off the Nutella®™ for another 2 minutes.  Serve immediately

 

 

**Clearly, this recipe can apply to many meats, but those that require longer cooking times may require some precooking as to not cook off the Nutella®™ entirely
