Eric grew up in Loveland, Colorado. He has been following sports since he was three. Being a Colorado kid, Eric avidly followed the Colorado Rockies (MLB), the Denver Broncos (NFL), the Colorado Avalanche (NHL) and the Denver Nuggets (NBA).

Eric's first sports love was ice hockey. He played competitively for 13 years. Eric also ran cross-country and track in high school, competing in the state meet three times in cross country and twice in track. Eric also played lacrosse, baseball and soccer in high school.

Eric is an up-and-coming ice hockey official who has aspirations to work semi-pro leagues and NCAA hockey. Refereeing keeps him close to the game of hockey.

At Arizona State, Eric is a member of Barrett, The Honors College. He is pursuing a career in sports journalism because journalism is his passion and sports are his life. Eric loves every aspect of sports and his dream is to get paid to cover them.
