• Consider the two guiding theoretical focuses of this course, globalization or McWorld on one hand and localization or Jihad on the other; and provide clear definitions of each.  What specific personal experiences in the Nations simulation have illustrated these forces, and how have those experiences furthered your understanding of them?  How have your New York Times readings contradicted or supported those personal experiences (refer to specific articles)?  Finally, given your experiences in class and your observations in the news, what is your position (supportive or critical) of the World Bank's optimistic forecasts and Benjamin Barber's pessimistic forecasts?  Why?
