Be creative, think carefully and critically, and demonstrate your knowledge of the key issues at hand.  Support your answer by integrating and applying logic and evidence from our readings (February 8th to February 22nd), lessons from class discussions, and examples from applicable news articles.  Avoid generalities by citing specific authors, articles, and quotes.  Finally, include a bibliography of the articles you cite.

Some argue that the economic dimensions of globalization (such as free trade) improve the welfare of the world's population.  Do you agree or disagree with this claim?  In your answer, carefully consider a broad definition of "welfare" inclusive of  both the economic and non-economic factors our authors addressed.  Consider also how you define the world's "population."
