All phylotypes added to this database correspond to 16s rRNA sequences of genetic material obtained after DGGE procedures. Sequences have been blasted using the Nucleotide databases from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Each phylotype has an accession number from which the sequences can be retrieved.
