HOW TO FIGURE YOUR FINAL GRADE

You should check to make sure that your written HW, lab, quiz,
and test averages have been figured correctly by my programs.
I will put the instructions for those checks in this location
as soon as all grades have been entered by the TAs. In the
meantime, you should check to make sure that your grades in
all of these categories have been entered correctly. If you
find an error, show the corrected paper to the TA in question
and ask them to change your grade in the class gradebook.

                 Written HW<>Quiz<>Test<>Lab

Quizzes now complete: Quiz average is the sum of your best
                       6 quizzes divided by 6.

Labs now complete: Lab average is the sum of your best 10
labs, added to your lab final, then
                    divided by 11

Written HWs now complete: HW average is the sum of your 10
                           written HWs divided by 10

Tests now complete: Test average is the sum of your two
best test scores divided by two.

The averages that you find at the above pages should be the
same as you find for these categories on the Overall Grades
page.

Your PRS average will be your total PRS points divided by 90%
of the number of PRS points that are possible. I will post
that number here after the last PRS question has been asked
(on TH 11/30). IF YOU HAVEN'T REGISTERED YOUR PRS CLICKER
YOU WILL GET A ZERO FOR YOUR PRS GRADE. Check to make sure
that your PRS grade is being recorded.

                       PRS Grades

PRS now complete: There ended up being 72 counting PRS
questions for the semester, or 216
                   possible PRS points; but 190, i.e. 88%
of 216, are all that is required for a
perfect PRS score. Your PRS average
is your total PRS points divided by
                   19.0, with a maximum of 10.0.

Your ARIS average will be your total ARIS points divided by
500. A total of 550 points will be available for the 11 ARIS
HW assignments, but you only have to get 500 out of the 550
possible to get 100% ARIS credit. To see what your total
ARIS points are, you must go into your ARIS Gradebook, visit
each assignment, and add up your point totals for that
assignment. Unfortunately, the percentages on your ARIS
gradebook summary page are not correct, unless you have
100%.

ARIS now complete: Correct ARIS totals are now available on
our class web page. If your ARIS average
at the Overall Grades page is presently
zero, it is because you have not entered
your External ID at the ARIS site. At
this point, this can only possibly be
fixed by sending me an email.

FINAL EXAM grades are now available on your Test Grade page.
