Homework Assignments for PHY-131 Fall 2008

          About 95% of all Homework assignments are to be completed
        using Mastering Physics (MP).  You may expect approximately
        6 Mastering Physics HW problems per lecture.  On AVERAGE,
        the HW assignments will be worth 50 points each.  The 
        MP problems can only be found at masteringphysics.com.  The 
        due dates for all Mastering Physics assignments will be 
        posted on your Mastering Physics assignment list.

          Approximately 10% of the HW problems will have to be
        written up and handed in at recitation.  There is about 
        one problem to turn in every two weeks, on average.  
        Problems are always due at the beginning of the relevant 
        recitation meeting.  You will find the turn-in problems, 
        along with due dates, on this web page.
