5/04 Test 5 turned out to be harder than I had
      intended; too hard in my estimation (for
      example, no one got full credit on Problem
      2(C)).  As a result, I have scaled the Test
      5 grades so that the Test 5 average matches
      the estimated average of the first four 
      tests.  The grade posted on Daryn's web page
      is your scaled grade (this is why some of 
      the grades have tenths of a point).  You may
      pick up your graded Test 5 from Daryn on
      TH (email or call him to find out when) or 
      from me on FRI (anytime between 1 PM and 4 PM).  
      Please do take a look at the Test 5 solutions
      available from the Noble Library Copy Center.
