REGISTERING FOR WEBASSIGN

(A) If you were registered for the class by January 9th.

Go to webassign.net and follow the following
  instructions:

  1. Select Log In
  2. Enter the requested information

Your "Username" is your ASURITE ID (the one that you use when
checking your ASU email account). If you do not know your
ASURITE ID, please visit the help desk at the computer commons.

     The "Institution" is

                       asu

     in lowercase letters.

Your "Password" is your ASU Posting ID in the format

                   XXXX-XXX

What if I don't know my POSTING ID?

  3. You will find that your name is preceded by a letter that
indicates your recitation. You must attend the recitation
for which you are registered. The following table indicates
which recitation goes with which letter.

After 5 PM Thursday Feb 09, if you have not entered an access
code, all of your work may be irreplaceably lost.

  5. If you wish to change your password, first logout, then
select "(forgot password?)" and follow the instructions
there. You must enter your ASU email address on this
page; no other email address will be accepted. NOTE: By
using the EPO Update feature at EMMA you can always set
your ASU email account to send all email to your favorite
email location. If you do this, be sure to that you still
occasionally check your ASU Inbox and Spam Filter; if they
become full, any emails sent to your ASU address will be
     blocked.

You must now wait for a response from me, which is
guaranteed to come with 24 hours (if you have a spam
filter in operation, don't forget to check there).
As soon as you get the response from me, follow
the instructions in Part (A). In the meantime, the
HW problems are listed at 111 Homework. You may
prepare by doing the problems on paper; however, the
numbers in the WebAssign versions will be different.

What if I get no reply?

                       TIPS ON SUBMITTING
                 HW ASSIGNMENTS WITH WEBASSIGN

Please, never use your browser's BACK button in the
middle of an WebAssign session. The system is
designed to only move in the forward direction.

The way things are set up at this time, you will have
five opportunities to answer each part of each problem.
To have your answer graded for a single part of a problem,
fill in only that part and select

               "Submit this question only".

If a part has been left blank, no submission is charged
for that part. Always use three significant figures in
your numerical answers (unless the program gives other
instructions for a particular problem). Numerical
answers must be correct to within 2%.
