NOTE: In reporting the averages from the tests we drop
the lowest scores. This is because the lowest
of each type of the 3 tests will be dropped; i.e.
1/3rd (or 33.3%) of all test scores will be dropped.
In comparing your average with the class average
you need to compare with an average which is
representative of the final average. Dropping
the lowest scores before reporting the average
is one way of ESTIMATING the effect of the final
drops. These posted test averages are not used
in any way in computing the final overall class
       average. GBA

     overall 60.0 final average

The details of the final grade scale were primarily
determined by the presence of gaps in the grade distribution.
Here is that final grade scale.

      below 37.0 E
      37.0 - 46.8 D
      46.9 - 63.0 C (above 59.9 is C+)
      63.1 - 78.7 B (no B-'s this year, no B+'s this year)
      above 78.7 A (below 80.0 is A-, no A+'s this year)

Letter grades were assigned strictly according to this
scale. The highest E is 30.9; the lowest D is 43.4,
the highest D is 43.4; the lowest C is 46.9, the
highest C is 61.8; the lowest B is 70.9; the highest B
is 73.8, and the lowest A is 78.8. The smallest gap
between levels is 3.5 points between D to C.
