In Spring 2023, Zoom attendance for class meetings
and/or recitations (without tests) for PHY121
might possibly be offered if the public health
situation deteriorates.
NOTE: If Zoom attendance is offered, you should only
attend via Zoom if you are sick, or have recently
been exposed to someone who is Covid-positive;
otherwise, always attend in person. Thanks, GBA.
For taking tests, in-person attendance is required.
Numerical tests will occur in PSH-563; Free Response
tests will occur in PSH-356. For students in quarantine
at the time of a test, we will try to provide an
opportunity for a make-up test in PSH-563 at the end of
your quarantine period; however, this depends on
the vagaries of scheduling. Any make-ups must be
scheduled and completed before the next scheduled test.
If a make-up cannot be scheduled in your particular
case, then that test will have to be your dropped
test for our Spring 2023 semester; each student gets
to drop one Numerical test and one Free Response test.
If unexpected circumstances require that we allow
some remote testing, then the remote testing
will require the use of a Lockdown Browser; installation
of the Lockdown Browser requires either a Windows or
a Mac operating system (Note: Virtual
Machines will not work).
Also, when taking a test remotely, you will need to
use two devices. One device will just be for joining
the Zoom meeting (with video on) during which the
test will be given; for most students, this device
will be your phone. The second device will be
the laptop or desktop (Windows or Mac) that you
actually use to take the test within the
Lockdown Browser.
For classes, if there are any Zoom meetings
offered, then those Zoom meetings will be held
from 3:05-4:20 MW in Dr. Adams' Zoom meeting
room at
https://asu.zoom.us/j/8349628496.
To find the Zoom link for recitations, please
see our Recitation Schedule.
Here are the instructions for joining our Zoom meetings.
