How to register and pay for your Pearson Mastering Physics course

which is here. On this alternative page, most students will want to go directly
to "Section II: Previously Registered".

This section of PHY 131 University Physics: Mechanics II will use Pearson's Mastering Physics resources and e-text accessible through the PHY 131 Blackboard course home. The first time you enter Mastering Physics from Blackboard you will automatically be taken through the Pearson registration process. Use the procedure below to log into Blackboard and access the Mastering Physics materials.

Note: If you already have a Pearson account do not create a new account. Register using your Pearson username and password.

To sign into Mastering for the first time:

Sign in to MyASU and enter your PHY 131 Blackboard course.

Click Mastering Physics link in the navigation menu on the left.

On the next screen select the link labeled Mastering Physics Course Home.

The End-User License Agreement and Privacy Policy are now displayed. Accept the agreement and move to the next screen.

Purchasing your Pearson Mastering Physics course materials

You can register and pay for your Mastering Physics course materials the first time you click on the Mastering Physics link from within Blackboard.

The Pearson registration process requires that you do one of the following:

If you already have a Pearson account, enter your Pearson username and password.

If you do not have a Pearson account, click Create to create one. Then follow the screen prompts to set up an account.

You are now prompted for an access code, payment, or request for temporary access. There are three payment/purchasing options:

 Purchase option #1 - The access code available in the new textbook package purchased
 from one of the local ASU bookstores will provide you access to the e-text and
 Mastering course materials for PHY131.

 Purchase option #2 - Purchase the Mastering Access Kit from one of the local
 ASU bookstores and it will provide you access to the e-text and Mastering course
 materials for PHY131.

 Purchase option # 3 - Purchase the e-text option when registering and you will have
 access to the e-text and Mastering course materials for PHY131.
 Use the access code that you already purchased with the textbook.
  The ONLY ACCESS CODE that will work for this course is the one in the textbook
  package available ONLY at the local ASU campus bookstores. DO NOT PURCHASE a
  MASTERING CODE FROM ANY OTHER LOCATION BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK FOR THIS COURSE.
 Purchase access online using a credit card or PayPal.
 Request temporary access (If you're waiting for financial aid and can't pay
  immediately, you can access the full set of features in your instructor's online
  course without payment for 17 days. The temporary access option enables you to
  start your coursework and avoid missing deadlines set by your instructor.)

When your registration is complete, the You're Done page is displayed and you get a confirmation email. Click Go to Your Course to enter the course immediately.

For all future access to Mastering Physics, make sure to enter through your Blackboard course.
