Our research focuses on the rational design of functional proteins. We are particularly interested in two areas:

1. 1)design of new membrane proteins as catalysts for applications in bioremediation and bioenergy;
   

2. 2)engineering novel carbohydrate-binding domains, for applications in antiviral and cancer therapy.
