The VS-2 Virtual Synthesizer written by Arne Eigenfeldt of Simon Frasier University. A virtual synthesizer based upon the voltage controlled analog synths of the 70s. Freeware, 1.2 MB stuffit file (with Readme). Requires at least a Macintosh (Mac only) G3, 233 mHz.

The The Virtual Theremin written by the BBC. A virtual theremin based upon the concept of heterodyning. Theremin moves as he plays (actually you play by
moving the mouse). Freeware in either IBM or MAC format. Requires Shockwave
audio.
