What Kind of Programs Do
We Have?
Hillel at
ASU offers many programs and opportunities for Jewish
undergraduate and graduate students. Weekly programs include:
Tuesday Lunch which is a kosher lunch offered to the
students and Shabbat Services and Dinner. Some of our highlight
programs of the year include:
- Israel
Festival
- Las Vegas
Night
- Challah-ween
- "Trick-or-canning"
- Blood Drives
- Bone Marrow
Registry Drive
- Grand Canyon
Camping Trip
Hillel at
ASU also offers many internships and scholorships which include:
- The
Joan Frazer Memorial Award in the Arts
- Every
spring semester students submit proposals creating original artistic
expressions which portray Judaism. Proposals eligible for
consideration include the full range of artistic disciplines: design,
dance, painting, sculpture, ceramic, photography, creative writing,
literature, media arts, music performance, composition, theatre, art
education, architecture and multi-diciplinary projects. Students
whose proposals are selected will recieve $1,500.

- The
Debra Goldstein Memorial Photography Contest
- Every spring semester students are
encouraged to turn in two photos that creatively represent a Judaic
theme and tie it to their lives as Jews. The winning photographs
receive prizes ranging from $50 - $500.
The prizes for 2006-2007 were already given. Look for more
information starting in the fall of 2007. For more information

- Parking
scholars
- Each semester Hillel at ASU has four -
five students who volunteer five hours a week at the Hillel
building. In return these students can park at Hillel for the
entire school year.

Teaching Scholars Program for the Training of Religious School Teachers
- Each year Hillel hires four - five
undergraduate students who are part of the Hillel Teaching Scholars
Program for the Training of Religious School Teachers. These
students receive three units of academic credit at ASU, $4,500 and
learn how to teach religious school. For more information please
